March 10, 2016 at 9:18PM

The State Patrol has identified the woman killed in a crash early Wednesday on Hwy. 10 in Coon Rapids as Ashley Novak, 30, of Coon Rapids.

Novak was a passenger in a vehicle that crashed into an unoccupied stalled vehicle on the right shoulder of the University Avenue overpass.

The driver, 29-year-old Samuel Maser from St. Francis, was injured and taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with noncritical injuries. Alcohol was detected in the driver's system, the patrol said.

Authorities closed the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 10 shortly after the crash, which happened at 1:54 a.m. The lanes were closed for more than 5 hours as the patrol and police from Blaine and Coon Rapids investigated.

Traffic was detoured onto Hwy. 610 and Hwy. 47 during the closure.
