Jason and Jessica Peterson returned home to Minnesota after a stint in New York City and decided to found their own theater. Where would they plant their flag? Hot Uptown, the thriving West Bank, downtown St. Paul? No, no and no. Yellow Tree Theatre has become one of the cultural touchstones of Osseo. Jason and Jessica have tapped into a great thirst for theater in the north metro area, and they have responded with very fine shows that range from chestnuts ("On Golden Pond") to premieres ("Stay Tuned"). Yellow Tree combines a great sense of hometown charm with a keen eye for worthwhile theater. 320 5th Av. SE., Osseo; 763-493-8733; yellowtreetheatre.com
