State Sen. Tarryl Clark has announced her campaign team in her bid to knock off 6th District U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann.

Political watchers who have followed campaigns for U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar and St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman might recognize some of the St. Cloud DFLer's new staffers.

Zach Rodvold will serve as campaign manager. He served as Klobuchar's state director and led field operation during her 2006 campaign for Senate.

Lauren Beecham will serve as the campaign's finance director. She held the same post for Coleman's recent mayoral vicory in St. Paul.

Other staffers include: Nicole Wittig-Geske, who worked as deputy 6th Congressional District field director for the DFL's 2008 coordinated campaign; Stacey Springer, former chairwoman of the St. Cloud State College Democrats; and policy adviser Emily Lawrence, who served as legislative director for U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum.

"This is a winning team, with years of experience in the 6th District and in high-profile, competitive campaigns across Minnesota and across the country," Clark said in a statement. "I look forward to working with them to build a true grassroots campaign as we address the issues that really matter to Minnesota's families: creating jobs and rebuilding the economy, making healthcare more affordable, investing in transportation and infrastructure, and ensuring fiscal responsibility in Washington."

The campaign selected Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research as its pollster. The company has worked with Klobuchar, state Sen. Ted Mondale and Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak. Rybak's campaign recently got in trouble for conducing a poll for his gubernatorial run before he filed the required paperwork.

Laguens Kully Klose Partners will serve as the campaign's media consultants. The company has worked with more than a dozen Minnesota campaigns.
