Authorities discovered the body of a man underneath the ice Monday afternoon in a channel between Lake of the Isles and Lake Calhoun.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office and the Minneapolis Fire Department received reports of a jacket found frozen to the ice on the lake channel. Fire department officials cut through the ice with a chain saw and found the man dead under the ice.
Deputies removed the body. The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
