That the Koreans won 7-0 against a team of minor-leaguers who aren't currently on the 40-man rosters of their major league teams wasn't the point for Twins fans, who are hoping to see Park at Target Field in 2016..
For them, the thrill came during the title game when Park came to bat against a Royals minor-leaguer named Brooks Pounders, who finished last season with a 2.19 ERA in eight Class AA starts.
Park came to bat; Pounders threw an 85 m.p.h. slider.
The ball got pounded.

The Twins recently won the bidding rights to Park and have until December 8 to sign him. Willie Randolph, the former Yankees second baseman who managed the United States team, came away impressed. In an Associated Press report, Randolph said: "You can tell he is a dangerous hitter. "We tried to execute a pitch and we couldn't and he hurt us with a three-run homer. He's a fine player."
