Guardians of the Fallacy: Executive Disorder

Opens Friday: Thanks to Twitter, the nation (and the world) has an unprecedented real-time view of our president's thinking, a development that's not always welcomed. But the folks at the Brave New Workshop are counting their lucky stars. For six decades, the sketch-comedy troupe has been taking the events of the day and sending them up with sharp wit. And the age of Trump has supplied them with enough material to last for weeks. Fortunately, they were able to whittle the jokes for a single evening with their latest production, the Trump-themed "Guardians of the Fallacy: Executive Disorder." Written by the five-member ensemble and directed by Caleb McEwen, this show includes satirical skits and songs about fake news, social media and "covfefe." (7:30 p.m. Fri., $20-$36. Ends Oct. 28. 824 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. 612-332-6620 or bravenewworkshop.com.)
