Ridgeview Medical Center, Waconia, named Michael Phelps president and chief executive. Phelps joined Ridgeview in 2004 and most recently was chief operating officer. Phelps is replacing Robert Stevens, who will retire on Dec. 31 after leading the organization for 21 years.
Guest Services named Fred Seymour general manager of Giants Ridge in Biwabik, Minn. Seymour was senior manager of alpine services for Three Rivers Park District and most recently was general manager for Peak Resorts in Missouri.
Minneapolis Jewish Federation, Minnetonka, named James Cohen chief executive. Cohen was chief executive for the United Jewish Federation of Greater Stamford, New Canaan and Darien in Connecticut and was assistant secretary of the University for International Affairs at Yale University.
On the move
The Arc Minnesota, St. Paul, named Ellen Baudler director of housing access. Baudler was a housing attorney. The Arc Minnesota also named Alicia Munson senior policy director.
Dorsey & Whitney, Minneapolis, named Jeff Saunders of counsel. Saunders was a principal at Savvysherpa and a former partner in Dorsey's Corporate Group.
Larkin Hoffman, Bloomington, named attorney David Swenson to its intellectual property practice. Swenson was a shareholder at Farney Daniels and serves on the board for Jungle Theater.
Henningson & Snoxell, Maple Grove, named attorney Kristin Kingsbury to the litigation department. Kingsbury was an attorney for Daniels & Kibort.
Widseth Smith Nolting named Logan Tjossem senior planner. Tjossem was a senior planner for the Rochester-Olmsted Planning Department.
Minnesota Farmers Union, St. Paul, named Brita Moore public relations director. Moore was assistant managing editor for Agri News.
Beehive Strategic Communication, St. Paul, named Amy Devore account director. Devore was senior digital marketing specialist for ReSound.
On the board
YWCA Minneapolis named Valeriana Moeller board chairwoman. Moeller is a former president of Columbus State Community College in Ohio. Also named to the board were Zeantra Jill Barclift, Mitchell Hamline School of Law; Cheryl Cooper Boyd, educational and organizational consultant; Deborah Hilke, Medtronic; and Loan Huynh, Fredrikson & Byron.
