Robert Moline, a top executive at Twin Cities-based HomeServices of America Inc., has retired, triggering a series of changes at the nation's second largest real estate holding company.

HomeServices, an affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway and the parent company of Edina Realty, said that Moline, the longtime president of HomeServices and CEO of the company's real estate brokerage division, will be replaced by five regional presidents.

The move is intended to help HomeServices manage its ongoing expansion. The company has already announced several large deals this year and Ron Peltier, the company's chief executive, said more are on the way.

"It is hard to predict as each transaction has its own pace, but we do have a robust pipeline through the end of the year," Peltier said in a statement.

The regional president roles are new. Each will maintain the responsibilities they now have as president and chief executive of the brokerages they already lead, but their new job requires them to provide additional support for the growing network of wholly owned brokerage companies.

Moline has been in the business nearly 30 years and has had several leadership roles, including CEO and broker of HomeServices of Nebraska.

In 2008, Moline became president and chief operating officer for HomeServices. In 2015, he was named chief executive of the company's brokerage division, where he was responsible for supporting the operations of the company-owned real estate brokerages, including more than 30 locally branded companies in 28 states.

In 2004 Moline was named Realtor of the Year by the Nebraska Realtors Association, and in 2017 he was named one of the "Most Powerful People in Real Estate Brokerage" by the Swanepoel Power 200 list.

Moline served on the Nebraska Real Estate Commission, was chairman of the Realty Alliance and has served on several National Association of Realtors' committees.

"I am honored to have had the opportunity to be part of HomeServices and proud to have worked with such a talented and experienced leadership team," he said in a statement. "Through the years, we have accomplished a great deal and I am confident that HomeServices will continue to set the standard for innovation, excellence, and integrity in the real estate industry."

Peltier said in a statement, "Bob's analytical, strategic, and collaborative approach, together with his deep understanding and passion for the real estate industry, has been instrumental in growing and executing the business strategies for HomeServices."

Those regional presidents are Greg Mason, president of the Midwest region and CEO of Edina Realty Home Services; Candace Adams, president of the Northeast region and president and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England, Westchester, and New York Properties; Mary Lee Blaylock, president of West Coast Region and president and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties; Larry Flick IV, president of the Atlantic Region and chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, Realtors and the Trident Group; and Rosey Koberlein, president of the Central Region and CEO of Long Cos.
