Byron Buxton's return from the minors hit a snag Monday, but it turned out less worrisome that the Twins originally feared.

The center fielder, recovering from a four-day bout with migraine headaches that landed him on the disabled list, fouled a ball off his left foot during Sunday's game with Class A Fort Myers.

When the foot was still sore on Monday, Buxton was sent for X-rays, which proved negative. But he was scratched from the lineup, making it less likely that the Twins would activate him before they get home on Friday. He's eligible to return on Wednesday.

"He didn't have any reaction with the migraines," Molitor said hopefully, "which is a good sign. We'll see how the next couple of days go."

Buxton isn't the only injured outfielder at the moment, either. Rochester center fielder Zack Granite is on the disabled list because of a bruised shoulder.
