A bystander was shot and injured after an argument escalated at a downtown Asian restaurant early Saturday, according to Minneapolis police.

No one had been arrested as of noon Saturday.

At around 1 a.m., a group of men were arguing at Asian Taste at 1400 Nicollet Av. S. when one fired a handgun, wounding a male customer in the leg, police said.

The men's physical brawling continued outside the restaurant, where they fired more shots before fleeing the scene once officers arrived.

Police recovered one handgun at the scene and are now processing witness accounts, spokesperson John Elder said.

"We've made progress off of the evidence that we located at the scene and the interviews we've done," he said.
