One can presume that Minnesota native Louie Anderson is a Vikings fan, but forgive him if he roots just a bit for the Detroit Lions next season. That's because Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh apparently saved him from drowning during practice for the upcoming ABC reality series, "Splash."
According to TMZ, Anderson was in training for the diving-competitive series Wednesday and was attempting to get out of the pool when he got tired and fell back in. Anderson confirmed the report Monday morning and said Suh and trainer Greg Louganis got him safely out.
"I have every bump and bruise you should have when you're my age and out of shape," Anderson, 59, said by phone during a short break from training. "I'm lucky that my health is the number one priority for those involved in the show."
The series, which will debut March 19, also features Kendra Wilkinson and Nicole Eggert.
