March 9, 2016 at 9:30PM

Authorities reopened the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 10 at Foley Blvd. in Coon Rapids following a fatal crash overnight that left one person dead.

Both the right and left lanes reopened at 7:40 a.m., several hours after a motorist crashed into an unoccupied stalled vehicle on the University Avenue overpass.

Traffic had been detoured onto Hwy. 610 and Hwy. 47 during the closure, a spokesman for the Minnesota Department of Transportation said.

The lanes closed just before 2 a.m. when the driver of a Ford Crown Victoria struck an unoccupied stalled vehicle that was on the right shoulder. A 30-year-old woman who was riding in the Ford died at the scene, according to the State Patrol and the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.

The driver, a 29-year-old man, was injured and taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with noncritical injuries. Alcohol was detected in the driver's system, the patrol said.
