Three snowplow trucks were destroyed by fire Saturday morning at a fenced lot owned by the city of Minneapolis.

Firefighters responding to a report of a vehicle fire at the public works lot at 1809 NE. Washington St. found the three large trucks afire when they arrived just before 11 a.m., according to Assistant Fire Chief Raymond Cruz. An additional engine was summoned to provide more water.
Using hand lines, fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze after about 30 minutes.
No one was hurt, Cruz said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
