The former Stanford standout is likely to spend most of the season with the G-League team in Des Moines.
The deal was first reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Brown, 24, was a second-round pick by the Lakers in 2015 out of Stanford. The 6-7 Brown played 29 games for Los Angeles as a rookie before being waived. He played nine games for New Orleans and two for Orlando last season.
Brown was an All-Star for Erie in the NBA D-League (now the G-League) last season. His contract with the Wolves means he likely will spend most of the season for their G-League team in Des Moines. Players on two-way deals are allowed to spend no more than 45 days with the NBA team.
Three other starters combined for 14 points as the Wolves were flattened despite their star’s career high.
