September 4, 2016 at 11:18PM

Preview: The Lynx overcame a sluggish second half to beat Washington on Friday, remaining tied with Los Angeles for the league's best record with Tuesday's showdown in Los Angeles looming; L.A. hosts Indiana on Sunday night. The Lynx will be trying to avoid a season sweep by Connecticut, which has won twice this season against Minnesota. After starting the season 3-13, the Sun has won eight of 12 games, including four of its past five in a push to make the playoff field.

Players to watch: Lynx F Maya Moore is coming off a 27-point, six-rebound, two-steal effort vs. Washington on Friday. C Sylvia Fowles had 17 rebounds and 15 points vs. the Mystics, her eighth double-double of the season. Connecticut C Chiney Ogwumike had 22 points (20 in the second half) and 10 rebounds in the Sun's victory over Phoenix on Friday.

Numbers: Minnesota has won its past eight home games.

Injuries: Lynx G Anna Cruz was set to rejoin the team Saturday. She will be on the bench Sunday but likely won't make her season debut until Tuesday. Sun F Morgan Tuck (leg) and G Rachel Banham (microfracture knee surgery) are out for the season.
