As part of the City of Lakes Loppet, dozens of skiers -- and their dogs -- took part in the skijoring races on Bde Maka Ska (the renamed Lake Calhoun) in Minneapolis.

Dogs, ranging from terriers to huskies, competed in 3K, 5K and 10K races, pulling their humans via special leashes and harnesses. We took a wild ride with one racing dog.

If you want to check out skijoring, there will be more races Sunday, Feb. 4. For details, see loppet.org.
