Address: 9630 Grove Circle N., Maple Grove

Type: Medical

Size: 24,088 square feet

Developer: MSP Commercial

Architect: Mohagen Hansen Architecture

Details: MSP Commercial has gained approvals for a new multitenant clinic building in the Grove South commercial area near Maple Grove Hospital.

The Eagan-based builder has several new medical office buildings currently on its plate. A summer completion is expected for its new Allina Health clinic in River Falls, Wis., and two new structures are on tap for Woodbury, one of which is to be leased by Minnesota Eye Consultants.

The Maple Grove facility will have a medical clinic on the first floor and an ambulatory surgery center/clinic on the second floor. The identities of the tenants were not revealed; each, however, has been signed to a 15-year lease, submitted documents indicate.

The vacant, 2.1-acre site along Grove Circle N. is adjacent to the Cambria Hotel & Suites. It was originally envisioned for a restaurant when master-planned a decade ago. In 2014, the parcel was purchased from a local bank by an entity related to the Excelsior Group, according to state records.

The Maple Grove City Council in January approved repositioning the property to a medical office use, given its small size, proximity to the hospital and the presence of other medical offices in the Grove South area. Its design features prominent stone and brick surfaces, standing seam metal panels and cast stone accents.
