A Minnetonka man died Sunday afternoon after another vehicle collided with his Toyota Matrix head on, according to the State Patrol.

The crash killed Jean Claude Paquier Wishard, 44, who was driving east on Hwy. 7 in Minnetrista, west of County Road 44. Wishard was hit by a westbound Toyota Sienna that veered into incoming traffic at 2:12 p.m.

Cole Avery Matthys, 16, was driving the Sienna and Maria Teresa Matthys, 48, was a passenger. Both are from St. Bonifacius. The pair sustained noncritical injuries, the State Patrol said, and were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the State Patrol said. Pavement conditions were described as wet at the time of the collision.
