Fox Sports 1, the biggest challenger yet to ESPN, just got landed another Minnesotan.

Jenny Taft, who grew up in Edina and has been working as a sideline reporter for the Minnesota Lynx on Fox Sports North, will move to the mothership next month where she'll join the Fox Sports 1 news and highlights update team.

She'll be in good company. Former KMSP news director and Minnesota native Bill Dallman is running the network's prime-time news program.

Taft broke in as a Fox Sports Girl two years ago, a role that requires a lot of social interaction with fans.

Taft earned her bachelor's degree at Boston University where she also played Division 1 lacrosse.

Any chance this means more lacrosse coverage on cable TV?
