Jerick McKinnon returns, Alex Boone and Eric Kendricks still held out of Vikings practice

Jerick McKinnon donned a helmet and jogged with his fellow running backs Thursday, marking his return to practice after injuring his ankle in the Oct. 23 loss in Philadelphia.

Jerick McKinnon donned a helmet and jogged with his fellow running backs Thursday, marking his return to practice after injuring his ankle in the Oct. 23 loss in Philadelphia.

McKinnon was limited in his return, according to the team's injury report.

The Vikings also got a reinforcement back along the defensive line as pass-rush specialist Tom Johnson (concussion) was able to practice after being held out on Wednesday. Johnson was also limited in Thursday's practice.

Guard Alex Boone, who is also dealing with shoulder and knee injuries, as well as linebacker Eric Kendricks were still held out due to concussions. Defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (knee) and guard Zac Kerin (hand) are still being held out of practice.

Linebacker Anthony Barr (groin), cornerback Captain Munnerlyn (foot) and cornerback Xavier Rhodes (calf) were upgraded to full participants in practice after being limited on Wednesday.
