A man who didn't conceal his appearance held up a Lakeville bank in December, but police have yet to catch him.

On Wednesday, Lakeville Police detectives put out a public appeal on the department's Facebook page in hopes somebody will recognize the suspect who robbed the New Market Bank around 11 a.m. on Dec. 22.

A video shows the man displaying a handgun and ordering a teller to fill a black satchel with money. He walked out of the bank at 20151 Icenic Trail and drove off in a black car. Police are unsure of the make or model.

Police did not disclose how much money was taken.

Several still pictures of the heist posted on the department's website show the robber dressed in a tan jacket, black scarf and knit hat with a small brim. He is black, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and has a slim to athletic build, police said.

Anybody with information is asked to call 911 or Lakeville Police at 952-985-2800.
