Imagine living in the home of your dreams. It might be a brand-new home — big enough to host a crowd, or small enough to simplify your daily life. Or it might be the home you already own but want to redesign to fit the way you live today.

Mark your calendar for April 25. That's your opportunity to glean ideas and insights from some of the Twin Cities' leading home design experts, as well as homeowners who have recently gone through the process of building or remodeling.

Architects and homeowners will share the stories and strategies of their award-winning projects at "Your Ideal Home," an evening of architecture and design presented by AIA Minnesota and the Star Tribune.

Panelists, all chosen from this year's Home of the Month-honored projects, will offer an inside look at the process of creating a personalized home, followed by a Q&A session, so bring your questions.

You'll also have the opportunity to meet and chat with architects informally during the cocktail hour. Or, if you'd like a more extended, private conversation about your dream project, you can sign up for a $30, 30-minute, one-on-one consultation with an AIA Minnesota residential design professional. You'll also get the first look at all 12 of this year's selected Home of the Month projects.

This is a prime opportunity to see some of Minnesota's most distinctive residential projects, hear from leading architects — and take a step toward creating your ideal home.
