Rain might slow you down, but that's about the only hinderance on the system as the Friday morning rush hour moves into its peak.

At 8:15 a.m. congestion combined with the rain is slowing the drive on westbound I-94 from Franklin Avenue to the Lowry Hill Tunnel. That's about 15 minutes.

The usual sluggish conditions are in place along both directions of I-694 between Hwy. 252 and Silver Lake Road.

It's getting crowded on northbound Hwy. 169 across the Minnesota River bridge up to I-494.

Congestion has loosened on I-35W in both directions from I-694 up to Hwy. 10 in Shoreview.

.Across the rest of the system at 8:15 a.m., traffic remains light for the most part.
