The best, apparently, do not rest much.
Lindsay Whalen working out before sunrise is the best thing to happen today
The 35-year-old Lynx point guard is too busy sweating to listen to your retirement questions.
Minnesota Lynx point guard Lindsay Whalen was hard at it early Friday, the morning after the Lynx celebrated their championship with a parade at the University of Minnesota and rally at Williams Arena.
Whalen tweeted a red-faced and sweaty photo of herself wearing earbuds and a green headband. She wrote "The grind never stops" from her account @Lindsay_13.
A vintage black-and-white Nike poster of Michael Jordan palming a basketball, his arms spread like wings, hangs behind her.
The time of her tweet: 7:04 a.m. so she'd already been at it for a while. She got that workout in before a breakfast date. Whalen was at the 9:30 a.m. celebration at Gov. Mark Dayton's residence on Summit Avenue.
The last time the Lynx won a championship in 2015, Whalen showed up at the governor's residence with a brace on her leg and like her teammates she looked spent from a night of partying at Paisley Park with Prince.
Today, the 35-year-old, 14-year veteran already looks ready for Opening Day 2018.
