Lionel Richie and Mariah Carey have canceled their March 24 concert at Xcel Energy Center. The tour, which was to start March 15, has been postponed because Richie had a procedure done on his knee. Some dates were rescheduled; the Twin Cities show was not one of them.

"When you have been performing as long as I have it takes a toll on your body. Unfortunately my recovery from a knee procedure will not have me 100% ready to start the tour next month," Richie said in a statement. "I don't want to disappoint my fans and I look forward to being back on stage so we can all be 'Dancing on the Ceiling' together again."

This would have been Carey's first proper concert in the Twin Cities.

Refunds for the Xcel show are available at the place of purchase.
