Extra police will be at Blaine High School Thursday after a potentially threatening message was found in a bathroom on Wednesday.

School administration notified a resource officer from the Blaine Police Department about a message that "was vague but could have been construed as a potential threat," Lt. Dan Pelkey of the Blaine Police Department said in a news release.

The message written on a wall in a women's restroom was found just before 2 p.m. Wednesday. It said "2-9-17 Will Be Blaine's Bloodest (sic) Day," according to images posted on social media.

Police investigated and said they don't believe the message has any credibility nor do they believe it poses a safety concern.

To ensure students feel safe at school Thursday, additional police will be on campus, Pelkey said.
