A motorist strayed into the opposite lane on an east-central Minnesota highway and was killed in a head-on collision with a semitrailer truck, authorities said.
The crash occurred late Tuesday morning on Hwy. 23 in Arthur Township, just south of Mora, according to the State Patrol.
Brian J. Rodenborg, 38, of Mora, was killed, the patrol said. Rodenborg was not wearing his seat belt.
The driver of the big rig, Igor Kovalchuk, of Woodbridge, Ill., was not hurt.
The patrol did not explain why Rodenborg's car crossed the centerline, but did note that the road was wet at the time.
