Metro Transit is offering free bus and light-rail rides starting at 6 p.m. on St. Patrick's Day.
"Whether you'll be out celebrating or you're not interested in driving alongside those who are, riding Metro Transit is an easy, safe alternative," the agency said in a news release.
Metro Transit has teamed up with Miller Lite to offer free rides on buses and light-rail trains from 6 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. Saturday.
Free rides will also be available on Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, SouthWest Transit and Anoka Transit routes.
No fare or coupons are needed, Metro Transit said. Just hop on and get to where you're going — safely.
