Three people died Wednesday in crashes on Minnesota roads.

Alan L. Remington, 65, of Wells, died when the 1990 Buick LeSabre he was driving south on Hwy. 22 in Blue Earth County collided with a semi being driven west on Hwy. 30 by Danny Salazar, 26, of North Mankato, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The crash happened at 12:28 p.m. south of Mapleton.

Salazar suffered noncritical injuries. Both men were wearing seat belts, and alcohol is not thought to have been a factor, the patrol said. Roads were wet at the time.

About 12:15 p.m., in Clay County, Duane Lamarr Johnson, 87, of Twin Valley, died when the 1993 Acura Integra he was driving east on 90th Avenue N. in Oakport Township failed to yield to a westbound semi as it turned south on Hwy. 75 and was struck by it, according to the patrol.

The truck driver, Jordan Wolff, 28, of Hunter, N.D., was not hurt. He was wearing his seat belt and alcohol was not a factor, the patrol said.

The day's third fatal also happened in Blue Earth County. Early Wednesday, a motorcyclist fatally crashed at a Mankato intersection, according to Mankato police. The wreck occurred about 12:45 a.m. in a residential area at Adams and Johnson streets.

Anthony J. Goodsell, 27, of Mankato, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Goodsell was not wearing a helmet, said police Cmdr. Daniel Schisel.

Goodsell was riding on Adams Street, where the pavement rises and curves, and veered between a fire hydrant and a concrete retaining wall, Schisel said. The motorcycle then crossed Johnson and hit another retaining wall.
