The victim of a Friday night shooting in St. Paul was a 17-year-old girl, police said Saturday.

Keyira Patrice-Monay Nunn was fatally shot as she rode in a car's passenger seat.

Officers were called to the scene near 3rd Street E. and Van Dyke Street around 5 p.m., where they found Nunn dead in the car.

No suspect or motive has been identified, and it's unclear whether Nunn was the intended target, police said.

The car's driver called 911 after the shooting and is cooperating with investigators.

Nunn worked at Chipotle Mexican Grill and previously had attended St. Paul's Johnson Senior High School, according to her Facebook page.

Police spokesman Steve Linders said her death was St. Paul's 11th homicide of 2017 and the ninth that involved firearms.
