Three motorcyclists have died in crashes on Minnesota roads in the past few days, according to the State Patrol.

Tyler W. Mathiason, 20, of Granada, Minn., died Wednesday when his 2000 Yamaha cycle sideswiped a semitrailer truck as he tried to merge onto Hwy. 169 just west of Mankato, in Blue Earth County.

Roads were dry at the time of the 9:05 p.m. crash. Mathiason was wearing a helmet, the patrol said. The truck driver, Dalibor Pavic, 38, of Lewisville, Texas, who was wearing a seat belt, was not hurt.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the patrol said.

On Tuesday, Bradley Titze, 55, and Amanda Titze, 57, both of O'Fallon, Ill, were fatally injured when the 2015 Harley they were on hit a deer in the northbound lanes of Hwy. 61 in Winona County, then veered into the southbound lanes and was struck by a 2011 Ford Focus driven by Matthew J. Broghammer, 48, of Winona, Minn. The crash happened at 5:48 p.m.

Broghammer, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not hurt. Bradley Titze was wearing a helmet, but it is not known if Amanda was. Alcohol was not a factor, the patrol said.
