St. Paul police identified the man shot and killed Sunday as Mychael D. Kendrick of St Paul.
Sgt. Mike Ernster, a police spokesman, said Monday that there was no new information about a possible motive in the shooting, which occurred in the city's North End. No arrests have been made.
Police said that authorities were called to Regions hospital just before 5:30 a.m. Sunday when Kendrick, 26, was dropped off. He died despite lifesaving measures. Police identified and secured the suspected crime scene on the 100 block of E. Sycamore Street.
Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Paul Police Department's homicide unit at 651-266-5650.
