Fat biking, skijoring, snow tubing and giant skiing are among the free offerings for visitors to the American Birkebeiner International Bridge at Super Bowl Live beginning Friday and running through Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 4.

The Loppet Foundation released a schedule of outdoor winter activities that will take place on Nicollet Mall on and near the 198-foot bridge over 9th Street.

"The City of Lakes Loppet Festival has grown to become a winter staple in Minneapolis, and we're thrilled to give Super Bowl fans a sampling of how we do things in the Bold North through this partnership," said John Munger, Executive Director of the Loppet Foundation.

Some Loppet events are purely for spectators. Others are participatory. To get in on the learning, visitors must register.

Super Bowl Live is a free food-family-conert event that occurs nightly through the game. Free concerts are the centerpiece of the show, but there are plenty of other activities including the Kitten Bowl.

The Birkebeiner bridge is on loan from its home in Hayward, Wis.
