APRIL 7

Drugs. Two men, ages 34 and 40, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Central Avenue NE.

CHAMPLIN

APRIL 3

Curfew violation. A 17-year-old girl was cited for violating curfew at Dayton Road and Colburn Street.

FRIDLEY

APRIL 6

Drugs. An officer responded to a report of narcotics found at a business in the 7800 block of Ranchers Road NE. The officer determined that the substance was baking soda.

APRIL 9

Check welfare. Officers went to check on a woman in the 400 block of Mississippi Street NE. who hadn't contacted her mother for three days. They found the 55-year-old woman, who said she was fine but didn't want to talk to her mother.

Suspicious activity. A woman in the 5900 block of East River Road NE. reported that someone was contaminating her food every time she goes to church. She said the food smelled sour when she opened the refrigerator.

APRIL 11

Drugs. A 19-year-old was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and marijuana in a motor vehicle following a traffic stop for loud exhaust at 61st Avenue NE. and Starlite Boulevard NE.

MAPLEWOOD

APRIL 1

Theft. A man and woman pushed a cart full of groceries out of Cub Foods, 2390 White Bear Av., without paying. When the store's loss prevention officer attempted to stop them, they ditched the cart and fled on foot.

APRIL 2

Vehicle theft. A 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with the theft of two U-Haul trucks from a business in the 2400 block of Maplewood Drive. Both trucks were recovered later in St. Paul.

APRIL 4

Drugs. Someone reported an unknown man sleeping in a neighbor's vehicle in the 1200 block of Leland Road. Police arrested the man for possession of a controlled substance.

MOUNDS VIEW

APRIL 7

Drunken driving. A 25-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving after she was stopped for speeding at County Road H and Long Lake Road.

APRIL 9

Property damage. Tires were slashed on a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 5200 block of Greenfield Avenue.

NEW BRIGHTON

APRIL 7

Suspicious activity. Police arrested a 19-year-old man on a warrant and a 37-year-old woman for possession of methamphetamine after stopping their vehicle for expired registration and suspicious behavior in the 1200 block of Silver Lake Road.

WOODBURY

APRIL 3

Suspicious activity. A man carrying a bag and some rope was reported walking into the woods in the 5000 block of Woodbury Drive. An officer found the man digging in the ground. He explained he was building a disc golf course.

APRIL 7

Suspicious activity. The principal of a school in Lakeland told police that a student waiting at a bus stop on Sandcastle Drive was asked by a bearded man in a white rusty van if he wanted a ride. The student declined but said the man drove down the street, parked and watched him until he got on his bus.
