JUNE 4

Theft. A 2002 Ford Escort was stolen from the driveway of a home on the 2200 block of 140th Avenue NW. The keys had been left in the vehicle.

JUNE 5

Theft. A handgun was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 1800 block of 139th Avenue NW.

Falcon Heights

JUNE 1

Traffic stop. A driver was pulled over for failing to signal a turn or lane change and texting while driving in the area of Cleveland and Larpenteur avenues. The driver, who did not have a license with them, was given a verbal warning.

FRIDLEY

JUNE 2

Check welfare. An officer responded to the 400 block of Longfellow Street NE. on a report of a 911 hang-up call. The officer was advised it was the cat stepping on the phone.

JUNE 3

Weapon. Officers responded to a home on the 100 block of 49th Avenue NE. on a report of a possible grenade buried in the yard. Officers were unable to locate anything. According to police reports, the homeowner had secondhand information that the previous homeowner had possibly buried a grenade in the yard in the late 1940s.

Animal complaint. Officers responded to a home on the 1400 block of Windemere Drive NE. on a report of a turkey in a window well. Officers removed the turkey from the window well.

JUNE 6

Suspicious activity/Extra patrol request. A resident in the 5000 block of 147th Street reported a group of people wandering around the neighborhood and requested extra patrols while a festival was being held at Lions Park, Upper 146th St.

LAKE ELMO

JUNE 3

Lifeguard assist. A deputy stood by while a lifeguard advised a woman to leave the beach at the Lake Elmo Park Reserve, 1515 Keats Ave. The children with the woman had been breaking beach rules and had been asked several times to stop.

NEW BRIGHTON

MAY 28

Theft. Two boxes of dishes, valued at $200, were stolen from a garage in the 500 block of Riviera Drive.

JUNE 7

Damage to property. The passenger side window of a vehicle was reported smashed in the 800 block of 6th Avenue. Nothing appeared to appeared to be missing.

ST. ANTHONY

MAY 31

Driving violations. A 23-year-old woman was cited for displaying expired registration, texting while driving and having no insurance after she was stopped near Stinson Boulevard and 37th Avenue.

JUNE 1

Driving violation. A 51-year-old woman was cited for a crosswalk violation after not yielding to a pedestrian at Silver Lake Road and 34th Avenue.

JUNE 2

Theft. Copper piping from an irrigation system was stolen from Kenzington Condominiums, 2601 Kenzie Terrace.

JUNE 4

Alcohol problem. Officers responded to Unofficial Bar and Grill, 3701 Stinson Blvd., on a report of an intoxicated individual. A 44-year-old was arrested after it was discovered she had two warrants for her arrest.

STILLWATER

JUNE 9

Bicycle stop. A deputy stopped a bicyclist riding without reflectors at 2:50 a.m. in the area of Water and Chestnut streets. The rider was cited for a bike violation and possession of drug paraphernalia.
