They Lynx have waived guard Sydney Wallace and forward Courtney Williams.

The moves brought the team's roster to 12 players. Coach Cheryl Reeve has said the team will enter Saturday's regular season opener with an 11-player roster, so the team will have to make one more move before the cut-down deadline, which is Friday by 4 p.m.

Barring a trade or some other personnel move, it appears rookie power forward Bashaara Graves, small forward Keisha Hampton and center Porsha Roberts are vying for the final two roster spots on a team laden with veterans.

Howard showed some of her offensive potential by scoring a team-high 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting in Sunday's preseason finale, an 85-68 loss to Washington. Howard also has the edge of being a small forward on a team looking for a backup to Maya Moore at that position.

Bashaara Graves, a second-round draft pick by the Lynx (22nd overall) Scored two points in 13:02 of playing time vs. Washington. Roberts did not play in Sunday's game.
