Maya Moore named WNBA Western Conference player of the month

The Lynx guard averaged 22.3 points, 5.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds as Minnesota rolled to a 6-0 start.

The WNBA on Monday named Lynx forward Maya Moore the Western Conference Player of the Week for games played May 30 through June 5. The Player of the Week award is Moore's second of the season and the 16th of her career.

Maya Moore is the WNBA Western Conference player of the month for May.

The Lynx guard averaged 22.3 points, 5.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds as Minnesota rolled to a 6-0 start.

Moore, in her fifth season, has won the Western Conference award six times and also won Western Conference player of the week award 15 times.

New York Liberty forward Tina Charles was named Eastern Conference player of the month. Charles averaged a league-leading 23.4 points and 11.8 rebounds per game in May.
