Hamline men's hockey coach Cory Laylin was named the head coach of Team USA's Under-18 entry in the Hlinka Gretzky Cup tournament, which will be played Aug. 6-11 in Alberta.

Israelsons lead MGA team event
Fueled by an eagle on the 14th hole, siblings Andrew and Emily Israelson posted a 7-under par 65 to take the opening-round lead at the Minnesota Golf Association Mixed Amateur Team Championship at Forest Hills Golf Club.
