Ian Pribyl rushed for 133 yards and Nate Gunn for 102 yards as the Mavericks, ranked No. 12 in Division II, rushed for more than 200 yards in their ninth consecutive game.
Ryan Schlicte and J.D. Ekowa each threw TD passes for the Mavericks, who outgained the 0-2 Golden Eagles 661-310.
Junior Casey Bednarski kicked field goals of 36, 63, 50 and 27 yards for the Mavericks (2-0). The 63-yarder, with three seconds left in the first half, was a school and NSIC record. It gave the Mavericks a 36-6 lead.
Minn. Duluth 33, Upper Iowa 21: The Bulldogs, ranked No. 21, scored 16 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to rally for the victory over the Peacocks in Fayette, Iowa. Dan Branger's 36-yard field on the second play of the fourth quarter pulled the Bulldogs (1-1) within 21-20. Ben Everhart's 11-yard TD run less than three minutes later gave the Bulldogs a 26-21 lead. Austin Sylvester got UMD's final TD on a 3-yard run.
Bemidji State 54, Concordia (St. Paul) 17: Jordan Hein passed for 242 yards and four TDs to lead the host Beavers past the Golden Bears.
Augustana 28, Minot State 20: Ryan Rubley passed for 212 yards and a touchdown and ran for another touchdown and Jordan Determan returned an interception for 75 yards to help the Vikings defeat the Beavers in Minot, N.D.
Winona State 34, St. Cloud State 10: Eric Birth ran for three TDs to lead the Warriors to the victory in St. Cloud. He scored twice in a five-minute span in the third quarter. The Warriors outscored the Huskies 17-0 in the second half.
