After a year's work, today we are introducing an entirely new website to our large, growing audience of digital readers — changes and improvements that many of you have told us you would like. We hope you enjoy what you see here on the new StarTribune.com.

Our redesigned website will allow us to present more news and more features every day on our home page. It will better showcase photography, video and graphics. It will introduce brand-new digital content, make it easier to share stories on social media, and respond more quickly to your clicks.

We've also made it a priority to give you a much richer digital reading experience of all the local, national and international stories that we post every day on StarTribune.com. Now, we can more easily blend in features such as video and photo galleries.

We are fortunate to have the largest news site in Minnesota, with more than 7 million unique visitors each month. But we know with that comes the constant responsibility to provide you with the broadest, deepest and most distinct and engaging coverage that we can.

The remake of our website is part of a larger drive by the Star Tribune to better serve our readers and advertisers. Over the past year, we've also upgraded our mobile site's design and added content, and we've enhanced our print edition with expanded coverage, such as Sunday's Science and Health section. You can expect to see more steps in the months ahead.

In the meantime, as you explore the new StarTribune.com, please share your questions or comments at startribune.com/feedback.

It's a privilege to bring you news from around the metro, the state and the world every day. Thank you for reading the Star Tribune.
