A head-on collision north of Plainview, Minn., killed one person around 4 p.m. Sunday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The crash, which involved two vehicles and a motorcycle on Hwy. 42, is being investigated by the State Patrol. Other details haven't been released.
Josh Hanson was driving north in a Ford Edge on Hwy. 42 when he collided with a Chrysler PT Cruiser and a motorcycle, both traveling in the southbound lane. Kenneth and Bonnie Miller were in the PT Cruiser and taken to an unspecified hospital with noncritical injuries.
Hanson was transported to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester with noncritical injuries. Alcohol was found in Hanson's system, according to the State Patrol.
The identity of the person who died will be released Monday.
Plainview is in Wabasha County, 20 miles northeast of Rochester.
