Prince was scheduled to perform two shows Sunday night at Warner Theatre in Washington D.C. So why not add another D.C. concert?
Prince and his band, 3rdEyeGirl, played a private two-hour performance Saturday night at the White House for President and Michelle Obama and about 500 invited guests. There were hits including "Purple Rain" and "Kiss," a guest slot by Stevie Wonder on "Signed Sealed Delivered I'm Yours" and lots of A-list celebs.
Guests reportedly included Tyler Perry, Gayle King, singer Ciara with BF Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks, Angela Bassett, the Rev. Al Sharpton, Jon Bon Jovi, James Taylor and National Security Advisor Susan Rice and former attorney general Eric Holder. And, of course, Sasha and Malia Obama. We're guessing Prince didn't start at 2 a.m.
On Sunday night, he definitely started at a reasonable hour because he had a second gig at 11 p.m. Wonder also jammed with Prince Sunday at the Warner Theatre on "Superstititon."
