The principal at Whittier International Elementary was abruptly placed on administrative leave earlier this month, and the district is already looking for her replacement.

Anne DePerry, who began as the school's principal in 2012, in under investigation, according to the district's spokesman Dirk Tedmon. Tedmon would not state the nature of the investigation or how long it's expected to last.

While DePerry's investigation is still ongoing, the district will begin to meet with parents on Nov. 2 to discuss the next principal.

"We encourage all families to attend, come with questions and your input for new leadership," the notice said. The meeting will take place at the school's media center from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.

Lisa Dubbels,a parent at the school, said many families are concerned.

"It's important to parents that they be involved in the process," Dubbels said.
