A woman was killed in a shooting near 30th and Newton avenues N. on Minneapolis' North Side on Saturday night, and two other people with gunshot wounds turned up in an emergency room, police said.

Officers were called to the intersection about 8 p.m. and found the woman on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound, said Minneapolis police spokesman Corey Schmidt. They performed CPR until medics arrived, but she could not be revived. Police have not released her identity.

Meanwhile, about the same time, the two other apparent victims arrived at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. One was in stable condition and the other had an injury that police said was not life-threatening. It was unclear whether their injuries were connected to the fatal shooting.
