The Vikings continued their annual tradition of building a playground in a local neighborhood, this time in a park in the Falcon Heights area. Among the players in attendance today was running back Adrian Peterson.

Heavy rain and the threat of lightning forced players, coaches and team executives indoors, where they signed autographs for students at Falcon Heights Elementary. The playground project will be completed, though.

Before the players hopped on the buses to head back to Winter Park, we were able to fire a couple of questions at General Manager Rick Spielman.

I'll give you a hint about who we talked about. Rhymes with Schmeterson.

"We're excited to get this kind of resolved," he said of Peterson's return. "And I think everybody is very excited about moving forward with this."

While Spielman deserves credit for winning his stare-down with Peterson's agent, Ben Dogra, Spielman deflected praise towards coach Mike Zimmer.

"I think Coach Zimmer has a great relationship with players in general. And his ability to communicate with them… As you know, there's not much filter with Coach Zimmer, but that's why players respect him," he said. "Not only is he a great teacher and going to make a better football player, but they have the utmost respect for him and how he handles things."
