The Vikings pressed on at punter with the signing of free agent Ryan Quigley on Monday.

Quigley, 27, is joining his seventh NFL team in his sixth season as one of two punters on the Vikings roster. He will compete with Texas Tech product Taylor Symmank to replace Jeff Locke, who left the Vikings to sign with the Indianapolis Colts this offseason.

Quigley appeared in six games for the Arizona Cardinals after he was signed in the middle of last season. He averaged 41.6 yards on 34 punts before he was released in November. His longest run with a team so far came in three seasons with the New York Jets, during which he peaked in 2014 with a 45.9-yard average and a net average of 39.9 yards.

Locke, a fifth-round pick in 2013, averaged 43.2 yards (38.8 net average) during his four seasons with the Vikings.

The Vikings also made official the signing of quarterback Case Keenum on Monday.

Keenum, 29, will serve as Sam Bradford's backup after starting nine games for the Los Angeles Rams last season. The Vikings now have three healthy quarterbacks under contract in Bradford, Keenum and Taylor Heinicke while Teddy Bridgewater continues to rehab.
