Minnesota's momentum meets a Dallas deterrent

Preview: Minnesota United FC (1-3-1) will have a tough time trying to extend its momentum after its first win when facing FC Dallas (2-0-1) the very next match. Dallas nearly won the treble last year, winning the MLS Supporters' Shield and U.S. Open Cup before falling in the MLS Cup playoffs. Dallas is actually unbeaten in eight straight MLS regular-season matches (4-0-4), including fourshutouts, and has allowed multiple goals in only one of its last 14 MLS home matches. But Dallas did lose on a stoppage time goal in the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals on Tuesday, and that heartbreaker might work in United's favor.

Players to watch: New Loons midfielder Sam Cronin and defender Marc Burch are likely to make their United debuts. Dallas forward Maximiliano Urruti has scored three goals off eight shots, four on goal, in his two MLS matches this MLS season. But he did go down with an apparent groin injury late in Tuesday's Champions League match.

Numbers: Midfielder Collen Warner is the only United player to play every minute this season.

Unavailable: United midfielder Bernardo Anor (leg) and defender Thomas de Villardi (Achilles) are out with injuries. Dallas defender Maynor Figueroa is suspended on a league disciplinary committee decision while Mauro Diaz, Ryan Hollingshead and Anibal Chala are injured.
