Preview: Both teams are coming off their first conference road victories. The Gophers (12-11, 3-7 Big Ten) edged Nebraska in overtime Saturday. Penn State (15-8, 5-6) dominated Northwestern 74-58. Since Marlene Stollings took over as Minnesota's coach, her teams are 3-0 vs. the Lady Lions the past two seasons.

Players to watch: Gophers guards Carlie Wagner (20.3 points per game) and Kenisha Bell (16.5) are the highest scoring duo in the Big Ten. Wagner has made 62 threes. Freshman Taiye Bello, in her second consecutive start for Minnesota, had eight points, seven rebounds and two steals against the Cornhuskers. Teniya Page (19.1) leads Penn State in scoring; she had 18 points and eight assists vs. the Wildcats. Four teammates also scored in double figures.

Numbers: The Gophers are second nationally in offensive rebounds, averaging 16 per game. Bell leads the team with 121 assists and 46 steals this season. Minnesota is 52nd in this week's RPI rankings. Penn State has made 10 turnovers or fewer in the past three games — a program first.
