Players to watch: Gophers sophomore G Kenisha Bell is averaging 16.7 points and has scored at least 18 points in each of the past three games. Backcourt mate Carlie Wagner, a junior, is seven three-pointers away from 200 in her career. She made five threes her last game. Senior guard Tori Jankoska recently became the first Michigan State player to score over 2,000 career points and averages a team-high 22 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Brandeis Agee, another senior guard, is averaging 12.6 points her past seven games. She is shooting 43.8 percent behind the arc.

Numbers: The Gophers have gotten to the free-throw line a season-high 34 times the past two games and scored a combined 54 points off turnovers. The Gophers have outrebounded their opponent in all their conference wins; the margin was 48-38 Monday vs. Northwestern. Michigan State is 10-1 when at least three of its players score in double figures. The Spartans are second in the Big Ten in free-throw percentage (73.4) and fourth in three-point field goal percentage (.352).
