Minneapolis, the sixth seed in the Class 1A, Section 2 boys' hockey playoffs, scored four unanswered goals to upset third seed Orono 4-2 on Thursday.

The No. 12 Spartans built a 2-0 lead past the midway point of the game. Minneapolis responded with three goals in a 2:13 span late in the middle period.

Ben Murray scored for Minneapolis at the 12:07 mark of the second period. Huck Sorock tied the score 2:02 later. Jake Erickson put Minneapolis ahead for good 11 seconds after that. Jake Hale capped the scoring with a shorthanded, empty-net goal with 1:20 remaining in the third period.

Max Luedtke got the Spartans on the board with 10 seconds left in the first period. Alexander Dau extended the Spartans' lead to 2-0 2:21 into the second period.

Preston Holt stopped 29 shots for Minneapolis, including 11 in the third period.

Eagan 2, Rosemount 1 (OT): Keegan Johnson scored 7:39 into overtime to give the Wildcats a victory over the Irish in the Class 2A, Section 3 quarterfinal round.

Bloomington Jefferson 2, Eastview 1: Alex Miller scored a power-play goal with 5:58 left in the third period to give the sixth-seeded Jaguars an upset victory of the Lightning in the Class 2A, Section 3A quarterfinals at Apple Valley.

Totino-Grace 4, Minnehaha Academy 3: Sam Hentges scored two goals to lead the Class 1A, No. 19 Eagles past the Class 1A, No. 16 Redhawks in the Section 4 quarterfinal round. The two teams combined to score three goals in the final 3:36 of the third period.

Minnetonka 5, Chanhassen 1: The Class 2A, No. 12 Skippers scored five goals in the third period to defeat the Storm in the quarterfinals of the Section 2 playoffs. Bobby Brink had two goals and an assist and Zach Van Sant had three assists for the Skippers.

Champlin Park 87, DeLaSalle 77: Mr. Basketball finalist McKinley Wright scored 46 points for the Rebels, the top-ranked team in Class 4A, in a victory over the top-ranked team in Class 3A. Gabe Kalscheur scored 22 points for DeLaSalle.

Minneapolis Patrick Henry 70, Blake 66: Lamar Wood scored 21 points to lead the Class 3A, No. 6 Patriots past the visiting Bears.
